The Story:

Aspen trees are my favorite trees to photograph. I often refer to them as the "super models" of the deciduous world; tall, skinny and elegant. Their monochrome color pallet makes them all the more appealing to my eye. They are often captured in the fall when they reach their peak of colorful brilliance. I find them more intriguing in the winter when they, like the landscape that surrounds them, are dormant sleeping giants. Aspen trees are the world's largest living organism. Connected by one root structure, they can span over 100 acres. Each year, I return to the same grove in Aspen, Colorado that I find particularly special. There is a deep sense of silence and awe that one feels when standing in the middle of a sprawling Aspen grove. It is this feeling of peace, stillness and eternity that I wish to convey with this image.

***Please note - If you will be hanging your art in a space with a lot of light and reflection, we recommend you upgrade the plexi to Optium Museum Acrylic anit-reflective.
