The Story Behind the Image:

In May of 2015, a skiing expedition brought me to the stunningly beautiful country of Iceland. It is here that snow covered peaks meet the sea, geothermal gasses spew from the earth in a prehistoric manner, and horses run wild through the vast, rugged landscape. Icelandic horses are closer in size to ponies than a standard horse, but they are hardy creatures with distinct long hair and fluffy manes. It was late morning when I saw this group of wild Icelandic horses making their way across a meadow at the base of some large rocky cliffs. The light at this moment was streaming in from between two cliffs, making it appear as though it were night time with the horses lit by only moon light. The moment lasted for mere seconds before the horses moved out of the beam of light and back into the shadows of the cliff. I was lucky to have my camera in that moment to capture those few magical seconds.

Pieces are framed with museum grade 99% UV Plexi and framed in a style where the print is set to the back of the frame with a spacer between the print and the plexi.

***Please note - If you will be hanging your art in a space with a lot of light and reflection, we recommend you upgrade the plexi to Optium anti-reflective.
