The Story:
Halfway down the dusty Moroccan west coast lies a desolate yet famous wave called Imsouane. It is Africa's longest right where you pick up the wave from a point that jets out into the Atlantic and ride it some 800 meters deep into the bay. I arrived to shoot this wave just as the sun was about to set. While the wave itself is beautiful and impressive, what I was most drawn to were the surfers walking back up on the beach. The rocky cliffside and sand turned a vibrant orangy-pink in the last light of the day creating a stunning backdrop for the colorful surfers. I stood on a cliff high above them, which gave me the perfect birds eye view.
